Grants Program
Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha supports organizations that help children through its grants program. We award grants of up to $10,000, and, in 2009, we awarded grants totaling more than $17,000. Ronald McDonald House Charities in Oak Brook, Il., the global charity of McDonald's Corp., provides 50 percent of the funding for these grants.
Grants will be only awarded to organizations that serve children in Nebraska and southwestern Iowa, and may be partially funded. In order to receive a grant, a potential grantee must meet the following criteria:
- Directly benefit children.
- Have consistent and effective management.
- Have a broad base of funding support.
- Have a demonstrated ability to respond to specific target populations in a manner that yields measurable results.
- Focus on health, medical research or education.
RMHC Omaha does not fund:
- Advertising or fund-raising drives.
- Partisan, political, or denomination programs.
- General and administrative costs.
- Intermediary funding agencies.
- Endowment campaigns.
- Ongoing salaries or travel expenses.
- Requests not in writing.
- Requests greater than $10,000.
